Dabburiya is a Muslim Arab village at the foot of the steep western
slope of Mount Tabor. The name is identified with the biblical Daberath
[Davrat], mentioned in Joshua 21:28, which also gave rise to nearby
Kibbutz Dovrat, established in 1946. It also references the biblical heroine
Devorah (Deborah) who was the force behind the historic victory of the
Tribes of Israel at the foot of Mount Tabor.
